The basics

What it is

What is a fractional CMO?

A senior marketing executive who works part time for several companies. You get strategy, budget ownership, and agency management without a full-time salary.

What's the difference between a fractional CMO and a marketing consultant?

A consultant advises on a specific problem. A fractional CMO owns the results and runs marketing week to week. I offer both: consulting by the hour or project, and fractional CMO by the month.

Who is AYOTTE for?

Companies spending at least $25,000 a month on marketing, usually through an agency, without a senior marketer to hold it accountable. I focus on home services, higher education, and sports.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. I'm based in San Antonio and work with clients across the United States.

Money

Cost and terms

How much does it cost?

Consulting is $350 an hour. The agency audit is $1,500. Fractional CMO plans start at $5,000 a month, flat. See pricing.

Is there a contract?

Monthly plans start with a 90-day commitment, then run month to month with 30 days' notice.

Can I pay online?

Yes. Consulting, the audit, and monthly plans can all be bought by card from the pricing page.

Working together

Agencies and AI

Do I still need my agency?

Usually, yes. Agencies do the production work. I decide what work gets done and hold them to results. See fractional CMO vs. agency.

What will I get each week?

One page: what you spent, what it produced, and what came back. Plus a monthly P&L review and a quarterly plan.

Do you use AI?

Yes, for the watching. Once your platforms are connected, software agents pull your ad, lead, and booking data every day and flag anything off target. I read what they find, make the calls, and check every number before it reaches you. At Leadhub I led the build of AI agents for routine agency work, so this isn't new to me.

Will AI replace talking to you?

No. The agents take the spreadsheet work so more of my time goes to you and your agency.
